TAMPA, Fla. (September 2, 2025) -- The Tampa Police Department is now investigating last night's shooting as a homicide.
Around 7:26 p.m., on September 1, officers responded to the 4700 block of E Citrus Cir. in reference to someone shot.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult, black, male with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
At this time, detectives believe the individuals involved were known to each other, and this does not appear to be a random act. Detectives are actively following leads as the investigation continues.
