The City of Tampa's Parks and Recreation Department is ringing bells and taking names for Santa this holiday season, with a big box of Christmas activities to unpack.
- Tree Lighting - December 3 at 6:00 P.M. at the New Tampa Recreation Center, 17302 Commerce Park Blvd. This event is hosted by Councilman Luis Viera and will feature a parking lot parade, dance performances in addition to the tree lighting.
- Tree Lighting - Thursday, December 4, at 6:00 P.M. at the Forest Hills Recreation Center, 724 W 109th Ave. Hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department. Hot chocolate, cookies, photos with Santa and the tree lighting.
- Tree Lighting - Friday, December 5, at 6:00 P.M. at Cole's Pond, 4100 N 17th St., 33610. Emcee, City leaders, cheerleaders, arts and crafts, games, and the tree lighting.
- Santa Fest & Tree Lighting - Saturday, December 6, at 1:00 P.M. families will have the opportunity to take free keepsake photos with Santa, make-and-take crafts, and enjoy face painting, bounce houses, dazzling dance performances, and more. The tree lighting event will begin at 6:00 P.M. A special performance by Tampa’s ShowStars will be followed by the City’s official Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:25 P.M., led by Mayor Jane Castor. The event ends with a free outdoor screening of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
