Tampa, FL. (December 15th, 2025) - The Tampa Police Department is now investigating a homicide after a man’s body was found Friday afternoon.
The victim has been positively identified as James McClendon Jr (B/M DOB: 09/25/1991).
On December 12th, 2025, officers responded to the 2700 block of 18th Ave E where they located McClendon Jr. with upper body trauma.
The investigation remains active, as detectives are following up on leads.
Investigators are urging anyone in the community who may have seen or heard anything to come forward. Even the smallest detail could be critical in helping bring answers to the McClendon family.
