TAMPA, FL. (January 22, 2026) - - Tampa Police detectives are investigating a homicide after an adult woman died this morning.
Just before 1:00 a.m., officers responded to a residence located on the 10200 block of Ninevah Road in response to a person shot. When officers arrived, they located an adult female, in her early 20's, with upper body trauma and an adult male, in his late 20's, with injuries consistent with stab wounds.
With assistance from Tampa Fire Rescue, life-saving efforts were performed on the female victim, but she was pronounced deceased on scene. The adult male was transported to a local hospital; his condition was last listed as stable.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the man and woman were arguing when the fight turned physical, and another person inside the home tried to intervene. Detectives are currently gathering information regarding the circumstances of the incident and each person’s involvement.
All parties involved are known to one another. Updates can be made available pending the ongoing investigation.
