Tampa Ranks in Top 5 for Business Headquarters
Tampa is kicking off the New Year with another top national ranking.
Site Selection Magazine placed Tampa in the top five cities in the United States for businesses to set up headquarters.
This is the first time Tampa makes the coveted list based on nationwide surveys from Site Selection consultants. The city’s favorable tax climate, highly skilled workforce, direct foreign investment, and quality of life are some of the reasons it stood out.
“The milestone is a reflection of the momentum our community has built together,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “We’re creating an environment where businesses thrive, families succeed, and big ideas feel right at home.”
Major redevelopment projects across the city that are connecting communities with the urban core, significant investment in public spaces and amenities, and an influx of small and large businesses have made Tampa one of the most desirable places to live and work.
In mid 2025, another media outlet listed Tampa #2 for economic growth.
