Tampa Parks & Recreation Department Hosts 44th Annual Senior Day in the Park
Senior Day in the Park is set for Friday, March 13, when more than 400 local seniors and 45 vendors will celebrate healthy living with friendship and fun activities in Macfarlane Park.
The Parks & Recreation launched Senior Day in the Park in1982. It provides seniors a chance to gather and celebrate community, while also engaging in healthy activities and having fun.
The David Barksdale Active Adult Center at Macfarlane Park, 1801 N Lincoln Ave., is the host site.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will start with a 1-mile walk in the park, for those eager and those who need a nudge to get moving.
On-site vendors will cover a range of interests, from health, wellness, and mobility to financial planning and insurance, all catering to City of Tampa seniors. Seniors can enjoy live entertainment, raffles, and games. Free food and free t-shirts will be available, while supplies last.
