City of Tampa Hosting 2nd Annual Career Glow Up
The City of Tampa is hosting a high-energy job fair that gives young, eager, and hardworking people a great chance to get their career launched or take it to the next level.
The inaugural Career Glow Up was held last November and attracted more than 300 people. For this year's event, set for Friday, June 12, from 10 am - 2 pm, more than 700 have registered, all eager to meet with the nearly three dozen employers looking for candidates.
"This is our way of connecting Tampa's residents eager to work with jobs and organizations that need their skills," said Mayor Jane Castor. "I believe in keeping Tampa's talents right here at home, and creating hiring opportunities like Career Glow Up is a way to achieve that goal."
Expect to see interviews on the spot with hiring managers ready to hire, and a vibe that feels more like a festival than a job fair.
The Career Glow Bar will offer free headshots, professional styling tips, interview coaching, and a resumé workshop. Lunch, prizeshttps://www.tampa.gov/form/career-glow-up and giveaways will be included, along with a live DJ on site.
