TAMPA, FL. (SEPTEMBER 15, 2026) - - In recognition of the officers, professional staff, and community members who have exhibited acts of heroism, bravery, or kindness over the past three months, the Tampa Police Department will host its quarterly awards ceremony to honor these heroes and their outstanding efforts.
The ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Ballroom A of the Tampa Convention Center and is open to the public. For those unable to attend, the ceremony will also be livestreamed on facebook.com/TampaPD.
Awards being presented at the ceremony will include:
- The Chief’s Appreciation Award
- Citizen's Appreciation Award
- Unit Citation Award
- Excellent Duty Award
- Life-Saving Award
- Award of Merit
- Tactical Excellence Award
- Community Policing Officer of the Month
- Employee of the Month
- Officer of the Month
