The City of Tampa is proud to announce that on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Downtown bridges, Old City Hall, and the Tampa Riverwalk will be lit up in red to show support for the American Red Cross Giving Day. This annual event is an opportunity for local communities to come together and support families impacted by home fires and other disasters who urgently need Red Cross services to get back on their feet.

The American Red Cross Giving Day is an annual event that takes place during Red Cross Month in March. This year's goal is to bring together 30,000 supporters to help families in need. In the weeks leading up to Giving Day, the Red Cross will share stories of how they help families prepare for and recover from disasters big and small, each and every day.

There are two main ways for people to get involved in Giving Day: make a financial donation or spread the word. Donations can be made at redcross.org/GivingDay, and supporters are encouraged to share their passion for helping those in need and encourage friends and family to give a gift to help families in need. Every donation makes an impact and can help those impacted by disaster.

The City of Tampa encourages everyone to join them in supporting the American Red Cross Giving Day on March 22, 2023, by making a donation or spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #HelpCantWait. Donations can be made now, and every gift helps provide hope and critical relief to those in need.
