The Tampa Police Department is seeking information on the death of a mother in New Tampa.
Shortly after 10 PM on Monday, January 30, 2023, officers were called to the 10700 block of Pictorial Park Dr inside of the Easton Park subdivision in New Tampa in reference to a female discovered lying on the ground on a residential street.
Officers arrived to find a sleeping male toddler seated in a car seat in the back of a Ford EcoSport SUV and his mother, an adult female in her 20s, deceased next to the vehicle with upper body trauma. The child was unharmed and is now in the care of a relative.
Homicide detectives are actively investigating the incident and speaking with neighbors. The deceased does not appear to reside in the neighborhood.
