CIPs are initially identified by departments based on their experiences, infrastructure needs, industry standards, COT development plans, and various other factors. Annually, departments submit CIP requests to the Budget Office, which then makes funding recommendations. Transportation’s capital improvement budget for FY 2020 was $11.8 million. It included transportation projects, transportation-related upgrades.
