TAMPA, FL (November 4th, 2021) - On 11/04/21 at 7:35 a.m., Philip Henkin was traveling NB on Lizards Tail Rd. at a high rate of speed when he failed to observe a bicyclist traveling SB. The driver hit the bicyclist head on then crashed into a tree. Evidence obtained during the investigation revealed the defendant was traveling NB in the SB lane, at a high rate of speed. While attempting to navigate a curve in his Tesla, the defendant struck the bicyclist head on. Henkin is charged with Vehicular Homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
