The Tampa Police Department has arrested a man who drove his SUV through a south Tampa business on Tuesday morning while attempting to hit a woman.

At approximately 8 AM on October 18, 2022, officers arrived at a business located at 3201 S Dale Mabry Highway to find a blue GMC crashed through the front window of a business. The driver, Pavel Alex Terentev, 31, was still on scene along with an adult female.

The woman, who is known to Terentev, said the two had been physically fighting all day, including in St Petersburg prior to driving over to Tampa. According to the woman, Terentev hit her in the face with a closed fist just prior to her getting out of his vehicle to unlock the business for the day. Due to their dispute, the victim said Terentev intentionally positioned his vehicle to strike her. She ran out of the way, causing Terentev’s vehicle to instead drive through the front window and into the business.

The business was closed at the time with no one inside. No one was injured from the crash, however, both Terentev and the victim had injuries due to their physical altercations.

Terentev was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, for attempting to strike the victim, felony criminal mischief, for damage to the building, and battery, for striking the victim.
