TAMPA, FL (December 27th, 2021) - Corporal John Simpkins has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest from a domestic related incident that occurred while off duty on 12/23/21. Cor. Simpkins has been charged with Battery. He has been with the department since 2008.
The Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office is investigating the case.
"This type of behavior will not be tolerated by any employee with the Tampa Police Department. We take domestic violence very seriously and will always advocate on behalf of the victim." - Interim Chief Ruben Delgado.
