Tampa Bay Landmarks Shine Blue in Honor of National Police Week

The Tampa Police Department will hold its annual Memorial Ceremony on May 11.

WHAT:               

Blue lights will illuminate Old City Hall, Curtis Hixon Park and downtown bridges at sundown during National Police Week

WHEN:              

May 10 to May 15, 2021

DETAILS:            

Blue lights will light up the sky in honor of fallen law enforcement officers during National Police Week, which takes place from May 9 to May 15. Old City Hall, downtown bridges and Curtis Hixon Park are set to shine blue in memory of the 32 Tampa Police officers who lost their lives while serving and protecting the community.

In addition to City-owned facilities, landmarks including Raymond James Stadium and the Skyway bridges plan to display blue lights in honor of law enforcement across the Bay who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
