Tampa and Dallas Mayors Place Friendly Wager on Super Wild Card Game

Tiff's Treats Throwdown Winner Takes 500 Dozen Cookies

The mayors of Tampa and Dallas are putting their city's pride on the line with a friendly wager on the outcome of the upcoming Super Wild Card matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football in the 2023 NFL playoffs.

The wager, nicknamed the "Tiff's Treats Throwdown," is being sponsored by Tiff's Treats, which will be contributing 500 dozen boxes of delicious, hot, and fresh cookies as collateral for the bet.

The winner of the wager will get 500 dozen boxes of cookies, which they plan to give to a deserving charity or community organization. If the Buccaneers come out on top, Mayor Castor has big plans on where the cookie boxes will be delivered.

"Champa Bay is one tough cookie, and I can't wait to deliver sweet, winning booty to our City of Tampa frontline workers. They are out there 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year keeping our city running," Mayor Castor said. "The Tiff's Treats Throwdown is a fun way to unite our cities, and I have no doubt that the Buccaneers will bring home the win. A big thank you to Tiff's Treats for their delicious cookies and support in this friendly wager."

In the unlikely event the Cowboys prevail, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson plans to give their cookies to first responders, as well as Dallas kids.

Tiff's Treats, known for baking and delivering warm cookies straight to customers' doorsteps, is excited to be a part of the bet. Tiff's Treats not only has locations in Dallas and other cities across the country, but now has a brand-new location in Tampa Heights at The Pearl.

The Cowboys-Bucs game is slated for “Monday Night Football” and will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC. Kickoff begins at 8:15 PM EST.
