As officers were coming on-scene on Norfolk St, additional officers were being dispatched to the report of a shooting victim on N. 40th St near E. Fern St. Officers arrived at the second location, which is less than a mile from the first scene, to find an adult female with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The female was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

While very early in the investigation, due to the close proximity in time and location of both incidents, the acts currently appear to be related but not random. Detectives are attempting to gather evidence and witness statements at both locations. Updates will be provided as they become available.
