A Tampa Police officer was injured in a crash Thursday morning, as he was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Adamo Drive. The 54-year-old Hispanic female driver of a red Honda Accord, crossed southbound along Adamo Drive, cutting in front of the officer, and colliding with the police motorcycle.
The 38-year-old officer was transported to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries, including a possibly fractured femur.
The driver of the Honda was not injured and remained on scene, cooperating with the investigation. She will be cited for her role in the crash.
