For the first time since taking office, Tampa’s new economic development leader will talk publicly about the city’s exciting future. Carole Post will speak Tuesday to a sold-out crowd at Tampa Downtown Partnership’s Downtown Briefing Series at the Water Street Marriott. The media is encouraged to attend as Post introduces new plans to drive economic growth throughout Tampa.
Post was a top aide to New York City mayors Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg and most recently served as a University of South Florida administrator leading the opening of the Morsani Medical School downtown.
Mayor Jane Castor has called Post the “top talent” Tampa needs for strategic growth. Castor appointed Post just months ago, and this will be Post’s first speaking engagement since taking office. The event includes a Fireside Discussion with Tampa Downtown Partnership’s President and CEO Lynda Remund.
