TAMPA, FL (December 22nd, 2021) - With the help of the US Marshall Service, Vakarvery Scott (D.O.B. 08/31/2001) was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault w/ a Firearm & Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle.
A second man, Alfonso Evans (D.O.B. 05/21/1992) was arrested the night of the shooting , and faces a felony charge of Shooting Into An Occupied Vehicle.
The December 1, 2021 incident left two women injured and ultimately claimed the life of one.
TPD detectives worked with our partners at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to link forensic evidence to the suspects.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
