The City of Tampa invites the community to the annual New Tampa Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting. Community leaders and City staff will light up a large Christmas tree at the New Tampa Recreation Center, located at 17302 Commerce Park Blvd, on Monday, November 27. The celebration, begins at 6:30 p.m. Families can enjoy a festive holiday parade of performers, the official Tree Lighting and even a visit from Santa. Councilman Luis Viera, Councilwoman Lynn Hurtak and the Tampa Gymnasts and Showstars will lead a group countdown to the big tree lighting at 6:55 p.m. The parking lot will be closed to vehicles for entering and exiting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Drivers can park in the community field parking lot, past the facility on the right. The New Tampa Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting is hosted by Tampa Parks & Recreation.
