TAMPA, FL. (September 19, 2025) - - The Tampa Police Department is conducting a death investigation after officers responded to a report of a deceased individual found in a vacant lot.
On Friday at 1:30 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of N. 39th St, where they located the body. The identity of the individual is unknown at this time. Detectives are in the process of identifying the person and notifying their next of kin. The official cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.
This is an active and ongoing investigation and detectives are gathering evidence in the case. Anyone with information that may be helpful to the investigation is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813.231.6130.
