TAMPA, FL (NOVEMBER 3, 2025) - - Tampa Police investigated a fatal traffic accident that occurred over the weekend. Just after 9:20 am on Nov. 2, 2025, a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on E. Fowler Ave, just west of N. 30th St. The 70-year-old bicyclist was reportedly crossing E. Fowler Ave from south to north, midblock and outside of a marked crosswalk, when the collision occurred.
The striking vehicle, a 2016 Hyundai, was traveling westbound on E. Fowler Ave. The adult female driver of the Hyundai was changing lanes from the center to the inside lane at the time of the impact.
Although officers immediately attempted life-saving measures, the bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Traffic along Fowler Ave was rerouted for several hours while the investigation was ongoing. The driver remained on scene, fully cooperative with investigators who determined that there was no evidence to suggest that speed or impairment were contributing factors in this collision. No charges were filed against the driver.
