Weekend Traffic Advisory: January 17 - 18

Drivers should be aware of potential traffic back-ups this Saturday and Sunday, January 17–18, due to multiple downtown events that combined, are expected to draw tens of thousands of people.

Lane closures on Ashley Drive and in Gasparilla Plaza will be in effect, limiting normal traffic flow throughout the weekend. Access to the Poe Garage will remain accessible.

  • March for Life Youth Rally @ Perry Harvey Park | 9 AM
  • Viva Tampa Bay Hispanic Heritage Festival @ Curtis Hixon Park | 2 PM
  • Straz Center Performances | 2 PM & 7:30 PM
  • Tampa Theatre Show | 7:30 PM

Sunday, January 18

  • Water Street Market | 10 AM
  • Viva Tampa Bay Hispanic Heritage Festival @ Curtis Hixon Park | 11 AM
  • Straz Center Performances | 1 PM, 2 PM, 6 PM & 6:30 PM

Gasparilla Plaza – Road Closed

Sunday, Jan. 18: 10 AM – 10 PM

Event attendees are encouraged to use alternative transportation options whenever possible, including the free TECO Line Streetcar, DASH service, HART buses, rentable scooters and bikes, rideshare options, etc.
