TAMPA, FL( April 20th, 2026) - The Tampa Police Department is investigating a homicide after a shooting Sunday night.
On April 19th, 2026, shortly before 8:15pm, officers responded to the 2100 block of W Palmetto Street for a report of a man shot. When they arrived, they located a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, he died from his injuries early Monday morning.
Detectives are seeking to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting as they gather evidence and work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
