Downtown Traffic Advisory: June 1 - 6
Attention Downtown Tampa drivers:
Starting Monday, June 1, rail service operator CSX will begin a week-long maintenance project on its tracks along E. Polk Street between N. Jefferson Street and N. Ashley Drive (excluding the N. Florida Avenue and Tampa Street intersection).
The work will take place in 24-hour segments (typically 6 AM to 6 AM the next day), requiring temporary street closures around each work zone. CSX will complete each segment before moving to the next.
Drivers should avoid all construction zones and follow posted signs and detours (see map below).
Scheduled closures include:
- N. Jefferson Street and E. Polk Street - 6/1
- N. Pierce Street and E. Polk Street - 6/2
- N. Morgan Street and E. Polk Street - 6/3
- N. Marion Street, N. Franklin Street, and E. Polk Street - 6/4
- N. Ashley Drive and E. Polk Street - 6/5
