Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued for Easton Park
The City of Tampa Water Department has issued a precautionary boil water notice, effective immediately, for customers in the Easton Park neighborhood in New Tampa following a significant drop in water pressure.
The pressure drop occurred while crews were flushing a 24-inch water main in preparation for placing it into service. This work is associated with the developer’s roadway connection project between K-Bar Ranch and Easton Park. Out of an abundance of caution, the Department is issuing this notice while crews collect samples for water quality testing.
Affected customers should use bottled water or boil tap water before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing fruits and vegetables. Bring water to a rolling boil for one minute, then allow it to cool before use.
The notice will remain in effect for at least 24 hours and until testing confirms the water is safe to drink and the City officially lifts the notice. Customers should continue these precautions even if water pressure has returned to normal.

We apologize for the disruption and appreciate our customers’ patience and cooperation while testing is completed.
