Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program Procurement

The City of Tampa’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) seeks to support the development of multi-family housing to address the needs outlined in the City’s Consolidated Plan.

The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program is the federal government’s primary policy tool for encouraging the development and rehabilitation of affordable rental housing. The program awards developers federal tax credits to offset construction costs in exchange for agreeing to reserve a certain fraction of units that are rent-restricted and for lower-income households.
