Tampa, FL. (August 4, 2026) - Tampa Police have arrested two people accused of robbing a man they met at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

The investigation found that on August 1, 2026, Benjamin Lopez (Hispanic male, DOB: 06/15/1989) and Anayaliz M. Dorsey-Criado (Hispanic female, DOB: 10/29/2007) met the victim, a man in his early 30s, at the casino. The victim gave Dorsey-Criado a ride to an apartment complex on the 2800-block of Valentine Court early that morning.

When they arrived, she asked to use his phone as they got out of the car.

The victim told detectives Lopez was waiting on him near a stairwell with a gun pointed at him and demanding money.

Lopez and Dorsey-Criado then took off with the victim’s money and his phone.

Through swift and detailed investigation, detectives located video that showed Lopez and Dorsey-Criado with the victim at the casino, and were able to successfully identify both suspects.

"It’s terrible the victim was taken advantage of in this way," said Acting Chief Brett Owen. "Detectives were relentless in their efforts to identify the suspects involved and hold them accountable."

Lopez is charged with Robbery with a Firearm ($750 or More But Less Than $20,000), Felon in Possession Firearm, and Grand Theft Third Degree.

Dorsey-Criado is charged with Robbery with a Firearm ($750 or More But Less Than $20,000) and Grand Theft Third Degree.
