21st St and Palm Ave - Traffic Signal Replacement Transportation P4: Construction Construction in Progress 5 $292344.18 2026 Local Option Gas Tax This project provides for the replacement and upgrade of the traffic signal at the intersection of North 21st Street and East Palm Avenue. Additionally, ADA accommodations will be upgraded as necessary.
Ybor PS FM Rehabilitation Wastewater P2: Design 30% Design Completion 5 $6898000.00 2028 PIPES This project provides for the rehabilitation of the force main that serves the Ybor Pumping Station located at 1302 N 25th St. The scope includes approximately 1,090 feet of 72” force main along 26th Street, which will be rehabilitated or replaced due to its deteriorated condition. As a part of this project, a new 36” force main will be constructed from the Ybor Station to the intersection of 34th street and 3rd avenue to function as a temporary bypass to divert the normal high flows from the Ybor Pump Station during the replacement of the existing 72”. The 36” FM will be left available long after the project is complete, providing more flexibility and resiliency for future challenges.
30th St (E Bougainvillea Ave to E Fowler Ave) Segment 2 (Resurfacing) Transportation P2: Design 60% Design Completion 7 $3500000.00 2027 Utilities Service Taxes This project aims to improve transportation connections and safety measures along the 30th St corridor, spanning approximately 0.7 miles from Bougainvillea Ave. to Fowler Ave. This project has been recommended through the MPO and City's Walk/ Bike Plan, Phases I and II, and through the City’s Pavement Condition Index Assessment. The City is considering various enhancements including improved pedestrian crossing at the railroad, dedicated bicycle lanes, and road resurfacing.

This project provides for complete street roadway improvements to enhance safety and multimodal connectivity, including roundabouts, sidewalks and trails, bicycle facilities, enhanced crosswalks, and other safety measures. Landscaping and green infrastructure components are also included.

S Macdill Ave Resurfacing from W Gandy Blvd to W Bay to Bay Blvd Transportation P2: Design 60% Design Completion 4 $3382122.00 TBD Tax - Other This is a subproject of the Hillsborough County Resurfacing Tax Project funded by the AFT Surtax Network Operating Fund. The project provides pavement resurfacing, pedestrian accessibility and safety improvements along the S Macdill avenue corridor, spanning approximately 1.8 miles from W Gandy Blvd to W Bay to Bay Blvd. S Macdill is a collector roadway serving as a critical access route for the Bayshore Beautiful and Palma Ceia neighborhoods. The project will include:
• Roadway resurfacing
• Improved pavement markings
• ADA pedestrian ramps
FY20 CIP Water Main Improvements Design-Build_W Chelsea St Transmission – GMP 5 Water P4: Construction Construction in Progress 6 $8053583.41 2026 PIPES The W Chelsea St Transmission project will improve the City of Tampa’s water distribution system by replacing the existing water mains. It will also improve our ability to serve a growing population. Approximately 7,909 Linear Feet of water mains ranging from 6 to 24 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded.
Hampton Terrace Project B Water P2: Design 60% Design Completion 6 $6603637.59 2027 PIPES Approximately 19,843 linear feet of water mains ranging from 2 to 6 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded.
Commerce Palms Dr and Compton Dr Transportation P5: Closeout Closeout 7 $425000.00 2026 Other Agencies This project is for the design and construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Commerce Palms Dr and Compton Dr. The project will also include new crosswalks, pedestrian signals, ADA-compliant ramps, and detectable warning mats. Due to the land development in the area, the City of Tampa was provided with $425,000 to enhance safety and accessibility.
Howard F. Curren AWTP Master Plan Improvements, Phase 1, Design-build GMP No. 3 Wastewater P5: Closeout Closeout 5 $18000000.00 2024 PIPES This project provides for the rehabilitation of Digester No. 7 at the Howard F. Curren AWTP. The project will include replacement of digester cover, replacement of the sludge recirculation pumps, transfer pumps, mixing system, piping, valves, concrete coatings, and the installation of new electrical and control systems.
Woodmere & Lois Stormwater Engineering P2: Design 90% Design Completion 6 $150000.00 2027 Stormwater Improvement Fee Lois Ave and Dale Ave southeast of Woodmere Rd experience flooding due to insufficient drainage capacity. The proposed project consists of construction of new pipes and inlets connecting on Lois Ave and Dale Ave to alleviate the flooding.
Golf View Estates Flooding Relief Stormwater Engineering P2: Design Contract Negotiations 4 $8000000.00 2027 Stormwater Improvement Fee During high intensity and short duration rain events, low-lying areas in Golfview Neighborhood experience frequent and dangerous flooding due to an old and undersized drainage system. It often takes days to drain some of the flooded streets and vehicles are stranded in these flooded streets. This project consists of design and construction of a new drainage conveyance system as well as the replacement and upsizing of the existing drainage conveyance system in a highly urbanized residential neighborhood. Following the completion of Florida Department of Transportation’s drainage project on South Dale Mabry Highway between Henderson Boulevard and West Neptune Street, this project was proposed. The upsized drainage system will connect to the City’s recently completed Dale Mabry-Henderson Trunkline project at West Watrous Avenue and South Dale Mabry Highway. There will be opportunities to implement Green Infrastructure technologies and improve water quality with this project.
South Howard Water Improvement Project Water P2: Design 30% Design Completion 4 $4135485.57 2028 PIPES Approximately 7,955 linear feet of water mains ranging from 4 to 12 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded.
Bayshore Pumping Station Rehabilitation Wastewater P5: Closeout Closeout 4 $6400000.00 2025 PIPES This project provides for the complete rehabilitation of Bayshore Pumping Station at 3300 Bayshore Dr. The project will serve to replace the existing wet-dry type pumping station with a more efficient, reliable, and serviceable submersible pumping station. It includes demolition of above ground building structure, pumps and electrical equipment and installation of new submersible pumps, piping, valves, control panel and electrical upgrades. The new electrical and control equipment will be installed aboveground and will be designed to provide protection from flooding and wind damage associated with storm events. The project also includes the installation of a backup generator to maintain station operation in the event of a power loss.
Brorein St Bridge (#105501) Phase 2 Mechanical/ Electrical Rehabilitation Transportation P2: Design 90% Design Completion 4 $9930000.00 TBD Local Option Gas Tax This project provides for structural rehabilitation as well as rehabilitation of the mechanical and electrical systems. This project will also create safe multimodal access across the river by widening the sidewalks on both sides of the bridge to about 9 feet wide.
7th Ave WM Replacement Water P2: Design 60% Design Completion 5 $12609566.75 2030 PIPES Approximately 16,750 linear feet of water mains ranging from 6 to 20 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded.
Green Spine Cycle Track, Phase 2A Transportation P4: Construction Construction in Progress 5 $994620.00 2026 Grants This project provides for a bi-directional cycle track along the south side of Cass St. from Howard Ave. to N Rome Ave.
