City of Tampa Testing Sites
In response to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in Florida, the City of Tampa has opened two COVID-19 testing sites offering free tests to the public.

Please note: The Al Barnes Park COVID-19 testing site is open daily from 9 am - 5 pm
The testing sites are open to the public and free of charge to residents. Individuals without insurance can also receive free testing. No appointment is required but residents are encouraged to pre-register. Walk-ups are also available on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last. Both PRC and Rapid Antigen tests are available. Residents are allowed one type of test per day.
Face masks are required except during the few moments for the nasal swab.
Hillsborough County Testing Sites
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and want to get tested, call your healthcare provider first. There are several public and privatized options also available for residents to be tested for COVID-19.
Symptoms can range from mild to severe illness, and appear 2-14 days after you are exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19.
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion
- Inability to wake or stay awake
- Bluish lips or face
Call 911 or call ahead to your local emergency facility: Notify the operator that you are seeking care for someone who has or may have COVID-19.

No cost testing is available at local health centers and select pharmacies:
