Housing and Community Development Funding Sources
The Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) determines, on an annual basis, the formula allocation each participating jurisdiction will receive based on the approved Federal Budget. The Entitlement amounts for the four federal programs awarded to the City of Tampa are shown below.

Public Technical Assistance Webinars will now be conducted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All applicant organizations are encouraged to view the Public Webinars for each grant, as it is applicable to your organization. There will be a technical assistance workshop on June 15th and a copy of the workshop recording will be posted on our website until June 25th. The Request for Application deadline has been extended until July 2, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. EST.

To: Interested Affordable Housing Developers,
The City of Tampa’s Housing and Community Development Division seeks to support the development of multi-family housing to address the needs outlined in the City’s Consolidated Plan. The City of Tampa may provide a letter of support and a financial commitment to projects that address the need for affordable housing while deconcentrating areas of poverty, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing and Housing Choice, meets one or more of the goals and objectives outlined in the Consolidated Plan and effectively leverages the city’s resources. The City will provide HOME funds to support the selected project(s). There will be only one selection for the 9% tax credit application.
