New Tampa Blvd Corridor Improvements From Meadow Pine Dr. to Bruce B. Downs Blvd. (Resurfacing) Transportation P4: Construction Permitting/Submittals Approval 7 $1030028.00 2026 Local Option Gas Tax The project provides pavement resurfacing and pedestrian accessibility and safety improvements along the New Tampa Blvd corridor, spanning approximately 1.8 miles from Meadow Pines Drive to Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. New Tampa Boulevard is a collector roadway serving as a critical access route for the West Meadows and Richmond Place neighborhoods. The project will include: • Roadway resurfacing • Improved pavement markings • ADA pedestrian ramps.
Forest Hills Park Pump Station Stormwater Engineering P2: Design 30% Design Completion 7 $3400000.00 2027 Stormwater Improvement Fee The project consists of the installation of an automated pump station to replace the existing temporary pump station at the Forest Hills Park along West Bougainvillea Avenue. The new pump station will eliminate the need for maintenance personnel to operate the pump station during wet weather conditions and will provide a more reliable means to control upstream water levels. This station will be controlled remotely through the City’s SCADA system.
Pathways to Palmetto (Design-Build) Transportation P1: Planning Planning 5 $24467804.00 TBD Multiple Funding This project is for the design of 22nd St. and 26th St. as well as the construction of 22nd St./26th St./Bermuda Blvd roadway & seawall. This project will include the following: • Design of 22nd St. and 26th St. Complete Streets. • Reconstructing/replacing and amenitizing the existing seawall on Bermuda Blvd. including an 8 ft. wide seawall trail*. • Installation of backflow preventers at the seawall outfall pipes. • Implementation of Complete Streets concept to support the mobility needs of all along Bermuda Blvd. • Roadway resurfacing and narrowing travel lanes. • Installation of tree wells and bioswales along the roadway shoulders. • Connects to the proposed Green ARTery Perimeter Trail. * The design of Bermuda Blvd roadway and seawall will be completed using a separate project: TRANS20141 - Bermuda Blvd Complete Streets and Seawall project (https://www.tampa.gov/project/trans20141).
Bermuda Blvd Complete Streets and Seawall (Design) Transportation P1: Planning Planning 5 $3954400.00 2028 Multiple Funding This project is for the design* of the roadway and seawall along Bermuda Blvd. The design will include the following:
• Reconstructing/replacing and amenitizing the existing seawall on Bermuda Blvd. including an 8 ft. wide seawall trail.
• Installation of backflow preventers at the seawall outfall pipes.
• Implementation of Complete Streets concept to support the mobility needs of all along Bermuda Blvd.
• Roadway resurfacing and narrowing travel lanes.
• Installation of tree wells and bioswales along the roadway shoulders.
• Connects to the proposed Green ARTery Perimeter Trail.

Sulphur Springs Pumping Station Wastewater P2: Design 30% Design Completion 5 $19700000.00 2028 PIPES This project provides for the complete rehabilitation of Sulphur Springs Pumping Station at 7902 N. 13th St. The project will serve to replace the existing wet-dry type pumping station with a more efficient, reliable, and serviceable submersible pumping station. It includes demolition of above ground building structure, pumps and electrical equipment and installation of new submersible pumps, piping, valves, control panel and electrical upgrades. The new electrical and control equipment will be installed aboveground and will be designed to provide protection from flooding and wind damage associated with storm events. The project also includes the installation of a backup generator to maintain station operation in the event of a power loss.
MacDill Air Force Base Access Improvements (Interbay Blvd between West Shore Blvd and S. Bayshore Blvd) Transportation P2: Design 30% Design Completion 4 $2862074.00 2027 Multiple Funding This project improves 2.93 miles of roadway to improve Air Force Base access. Interbay Boulevard will be converted from an existing 2-lane undivided road to a 3-lane divided road, west of Dale Mabry Hwy (SR 573), and pavement will be resurfaced and restriped. The project will construct intermittent widening of the roadway to accommodate a center two-way left-turn lane (or intermittent left-turn pockets) along the corridor from West Shore Blvd to Dale Mabry Hwy (SR 573). This project is supported by MacDill Air Force Base, the Department of the Air Force, and neighborhoods surrounding the corridor.
Gandy Park South and A. J. Palonis Park Improvements Parks & Recreation P2: Design Planning 4 $2000000.00 2025 Other Agencies This project provides for the design and construction of improvements to Gandy Park South and A. J. Palonis Park. Improvements include but are not limited to a trail connection under the Gandy Bridge, passive recreational opportunities including fishing, picnicking, walking, kayak launching, as well as other passive recreational activities. Improved parking, restrooms, shelters and boardwalks are key components of the improvement project. The intent is to utilize a design/build process advertised through an RFQ.
Rivercrest Park Boardwalk Renovation Parks & Recreation P2: Design Permitting/Submittals Approval 6 $1100000.00 2025 Community Investment Taxes This project provides for the replacement of the seawall, boardwalk and docks at Rivercrest Park. Replacement of new structural system, and a new dock system.
Lois Ave (Cleveland St to Boy Scout Blvd) Transportation P2: Design 30% Design Completion 6 $5400000.00 2027 Multiple Funding This project provides for safety, multimodal, and operational improvements.
Empedrado St Water P4: Construction Permitting/Submittals Approval 4 $790573.70 2026 PIPES Approximately 4,921 Linear Feet of water mains ranging from 2 to 6 inches in diameter will be replaced and upgraded. The project area and the streets impacted by this project are shown on the attached map.
Neighborhood Improvements- West Riverside Heights Transportation P4: Construction Permitting/Submittals Approval 6 $2100000.00 2027 Local Option Gas Tax This project provides for street resurfacing, traffic calming and pedestrian infrastructure within the West Riverside Heights Neighborhood.
Cass St Bridge (#105502) Electrical/Mechanical Rehabilitation Transportation P2: Design 90% Design Completion 5 $6930000.00 TBD Local Option Gas Tax This project will provide for a rehabilitation of the Cass St Bridge electrical and mechanical systems as well as the construction of the Green Spine Cycle Track across the bridge.

Implementation of the project will happen in multiple phases as funding becomes available.
Howard F. Curren AWTP Master Plan Improvements, Phase 2, Design-build GMP No. 1 Wastewater P3: Procurement Consultant/Contractor Selection Process 5 $31750000.00 2027 PIPES This project provides for the replacement of the High Purity Oxygen Generation System and related electrical and control systems; and the Sludge Control Building Electrical System including motor control centers, variable frequency drives and miscellaneous electrical components. The project will also include the improvement of the Howard F. Curren AWTP security, and the equipment purchase for the Main Switch Gear Facility replacement upcoming construction.
Downtown Core Complete Streets (Florida Ave from Channelside Dr to Jackson St) Transportation P2: Design 60% Design Completion 5 $1000000.00 2026 Yet to be Determined This project provides for multimodal and safety improvements. General maintenance and Complete Streets improvements to several streets and incorporated in this project in the Downtown Core: Florida Ave from Channelside Dr to Jackson St. As part of the project, these roadways will be resurfaced to remove deficiencies and provide a newly finished driving surface. This project will also include multimodal improvements to make these corridors safer for all users in accordance with the City’s Vision Zero initiative. • Parking Protected Buffered Bike Lanes with conflict markings to allow for safer cycling; • Pedestrian Bulb-outs to shorten pedestrian crossing distances; • Enhanced Crosswalks to provide pedestrians with more visibility; • Traffic Calming features to control speeds and reduce the likelihood of fatal crashes; • Reconstructed Curb Ramps to provide ease of use and accessibility to people with disabilities.
Manhattan Ave & Bay to Bay Blvd - Traffic Signal Upgrade Transportation P2: Design 30% Design Completion 4 $1200000.00 2027 Other Agencies This project includes design and replacement of traffic signals to improve safety and enhance access for the community. The project includes curb extensions, marked crosswalks, pedestrian signals, ADA-compliant ramps, and detectable warning mats.
Brorein St Bridge (#105501) Phase 1 Structural Rehabilitation Transportation P2: Design 90% Design Completion 4 $9220000.00 TBD Local Option Gas Tax This project provides for structural rehabilitation as well as rehabilitation of the mechanical and electrical systems. This project will also create safe multimodal access across the river by widening the sidewalks on both sides of the bridge to about 9 feet wide.
Morris Bridge Filter Roof Retro – COOP Site Water P5: Closeout Closeout 7 $3975099.00 2024 PIPES The City’s existing Morris Bridge Pump Station is situated on a 56.6 acre site in Tampa, Florida, near the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Interstate 75. Various facilities exist on the site, including the following: Filter building, Maintenance and storage buildings, Dewatering building, ground storage tanks, electrical gear, controls, main pump station electrical rooms, and abandoned facilities that formerly served as a lime softening WTF. This project will rehabilitate and replace existing infrastructure, such as the Filter Building roof, and eliminate deteriorating facilities and equipment to increase operational and maintenance efficiency.
