Long Lost Fort Brooke: Tampa Cannon Battery Remembered

Join Tampa Historical Society for a historical reenactment of the capture of Fort Brooke by Federal troops during the Civil War in 1864. The story of the cannons and their subsequent capture, battle damage and removal will be led by local historian and Rough Riders founder, former Tampa City Councilman Charles Spicola, with John Werner and Steve Hall. A 6 pound shot size cannon will be on display, and light refreshments will be served.
