Anyone interested in researching Tampa, its people and its government may use the Archives. Users include members of the general public, teachers, students, businesses, newspaper columnists, and historians as well as employees of the City of Tampa.
SERVICE: Our staff assists patrons with their research needs by providing guides, indices and inventories of the Archives collection, as well as by suggesting pertinent resources in the collection and in the community. Because we have a small staff which is committed to providing the best possible service, we provide all research materials digitally via email. We do not have a public research space.
City of Tampa records are public records under Florida's Public Records Law and are not protected by copyright. In the case of published works, the researcher bears responsibility for use of photocopied materials.
