The proper disposal of household chemicals and wastes reduce the possibility of these pollutants from entering the stormwater system. The City of Tampa and the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission provide routine collection events which allow participating households a place to properly dispose of household hazardous waste, unused chemicals, and electronic equipment.
