Teacher and School Guidelines

  • Schools judge all entries according to the Student Guidelines and choose one school winner for each division to be advanced to the local-level judging

*Note: Submission of an entry serves as the student, parent/guardian, and school's authorization to utilize the student's name, school, and artwork in prize and other promotional materials.

First place local winners from each division will advance to the state-level competition sponsored by the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and will also receive:

  • A bottle-filling station installation at their school which will save money because students don’t need to buy single-use bottles of water, and they help the environment by eliminating plastic bottles from the waste stream (this is only available to public schools)
  • Reusable water bottles imprinted with their artwork for the students in their art class
  • A poster of their artwork for display in their art class
  • A water conservation retrofit kit (low-flow aerators and showerhead, toilet leak detection dye tablets, hose nozzle, and more)
  • A display of their artwork on both the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County Drop Savers webpages
  • And more!

Second and third place local winners from each division will receive:
