Preliminary Plan Review (PPR)

A Preliminary Plan Review is an optional paid service that Applicants may request through the City of Tampa Citizen Access Portal after registering for an account.  Construction Services offers residential and commercial PPR meetings to allow the owner or owner’s agent(s) to meet with City Staff to discuss preliminary design or code issues. The objective is to identify items that need to be addressed or modified before construction plans are submitted to the City for permit review.  The PPR does not guarantee approval of plans.

To request a Preliminary Plan Review, click the “How To” link below for a step by step guide on how to apply.  A complete PPR application consists of the application fee, Plans that are at least 60% complete, and a separate document containing PPR questions for the Plans Reviewers. The application will not be processed if any of these 3 components are not provided.
