Preliminary Plan Review (PPR)

During a PPR, the vertical construction plans of a proposed project are examined.

Here’s a brief summary:

  1. PPR Application: Only proceed if vertical construction plans are at least 60% complete. If you have only site plans or conceptual drawings, reach out to Tampa Zoning for guidance on specific questions: (813) 274-3100, Option #2
  2. Purpose: A PPR is an optional service for reviewing preliminary construction plans to identify potential issues before final submission for permits.
  3. Requirements: To submit a PPR application, you need:
    • The application fee.
    • Vertical construction plans that are at least 60% complete.
    • A document listing PPR questions related to compliance with the Florida Building Code.
  4. Additional Questions: You can include further questions (i.e.: Zoning) after meeting the initial criteria.
