Visual Arts

Our mission is to provide quality programming and promote lifelong community connections through the education of visual arts in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere.

We offer a wide range of classes including: ceramic sculpture, pottery, oil painting, watercolor, drawing, digital, mixed media, jewelry, glass fusion, stained glass, fiber arts, and printmaking. In addition, we provide youth summer specialty camps with themed, week-long, full-day and half-day camps.

All arts studios listed here, as well as our Creative Arts Theatre, are part of the City of Tampa's Parks & Recreation Department, considered Special Programs.

Specialty Workshops

Throughout the year, in collaboration with Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc, the Art Division hosts guest artists for specialty workshops. Artists are sought out both locally and nationally to visit our studios and provide the students with new perspectives for approaching art.
