The Community Center includes an indoor gymnasium, a fitness room with weights and exercise equipment, a computer lab, and multi-purpose rooms.
Copeland Park boasts an extensive system of both asphalt and nature trails. The exercise/fitness trail traverses through natural wooded areas and across boardwalks through wetlands. The asphalt trail is approximately one mile in length.
There are two playground areas featuring monkey bars, slides and lots of things to climb. Shaded play structures and seating areas will allow children and parents to enjoy the park even on hot summer days. There is also swings for infants and children.
Four spacious shelters are available for your outdoor event and are equipped with picnic tables, grills and trash receptacles. Permitting for the shelters is handled by the shelter office and you can reach them at (813) 274-8184.
Copeland Pool is a Family/Leisure pool with ten 25-yard lap lanes, zero depth entry, 14 foot deep dive well with two 1-meter and one 3-meter maxi-flex model B spring boards, water feature with 2 slides, and concrete bleachers with capacity for 2,000.
Four tennis courts in one fenced area are located just north of the basketball court and ball field. The tennis court area is lighted and fenced with benches outside for observers.
The ball field has a sand infield and grassy outfield with benches on either side and a backstop with bleachers behind it for the sports fans to watch the game.
VitaCourse Exercise Equipment
Get in a great workout along the trail at several VitaCourse circuit training stations that allow for a variety of different exercises. Instructions are clearly printed on panels at each exercise station.
Suitable for racquetball or handball, there are a total of four racquetball courts in one fenced, lighted area. Bench seating is just outside the fence for observers.
In addition to the indoor gymnasium basketball courts, there are two lighted, concrete outdoor basketball courts with bench seating around it.
