Summer Camp

Online and Lottery Registration

We will be offering a variety of camps during the summer in a safe, yet fun, manner. For safety reasons, all summer camp registration periods are online only

R.E.C. Camps will be available to City of Tampa Residents only. Those interested will have a short period to register into a lottery for their desired camp location. Lottery registration will begin on Sunday, April 11.

Participants randomly selected through the lottery spin will be notified within 24 hours. Families who did not get into their desired camp location, may try for another lottery registration. There will not be in-person registration or regular registration for R.E.C. Camps. All R.E.C. camp locations will have participants selected through the lottery system.

Specialty Camps will be open to City of Tampa Residents and Non-Residents. A regular registration period will begin on Monday, April 5 at 6pm and will be on the first-come, first-served basis.

R.E.C. vs. Specialty Camps

We offer two types of camps during the summer season. Recreate, Educate, and Create (R.E.C.) is our traditional summer camp, while we also have a variety of specialty. What the difference between our R.E.C. and specialty camps?

R.E.C. Camp (a.k.a. Traditional Camp)

Time Frame: approximately 10-week period (June 1 to August 9), Full Day Camp

Price per Participant: $80 for the time frame above.

Description: Each year a Parks and Recreation committee decides a traditional summer camp theme. They put together activities, crafts, games, etc. to go along with the year's theme. There will not be field trips this summer; however, we have lots of activities planned safely on-site for all participants to enjoy.

Specialty Camp

Time Frame: 3 days up to 2 weeks Half Day and Full Day Camp

Price per Participant: $40 - $200 for the time frame above

Description: Specialty Camps are really just that. For the designated time frame they cover a specialized category, such as Fine Arts, Sports, and Aquatics related themes.
