Summer Camp 2026

Summer camps applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis during respective registration periods. Active Rec Cards are required for all enrollments.

We offer two types of camps during the summer season. Recreate, Educate, and Create (R.E.C.) is our traditional summer camp, while we also have a variety of specialty camps. What are the differences between R.E.C. and Specialty camps?

R.E.C. Camp

Time frame: June 1 to August 7 (10 weeks), full-day camp

Price per participant: $80 for the time frame above

Description: Participants will enjoy activities, crafts, games, and more to go along with the theme. There may be field trips and activities planned for all to enjoy. Must have turned 5 on or before September 1, 2025.

Camp theme: Recreation Nation

Monday, March 30, 2026, 6 pm: Tampa residents, online only
Tuesday, March 31, 2026, 6 pm: Tampa residents, online and in person
Monday, April 13, 2026, 6 pm: Tampa residents and non-residents, online and in person

Specialty Camp

Time frame: From 3 days up to 1 week; half-day or full-day camp

Price per participant: Varies by camp

Description: Participants will enjoy an in-depth exploration of their chosen specialized activity, whether it is Arts (Visual and Theatre), Sports, Aquatics, or something else.

Annual Rec Cards

A current Rec Card is required to participate in all summer camp activities. Those with active WebTrac accounts, may purchase and/or renew their Rec Cards online.

Note that teens 13 to 19 years of age qualify for a free Rec Card (Teen Pass). You must visit one of our facilities or call our office to acquire a new Teen Pass. It cannot be done online.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Applicants must reside in the City of Tampa and provide 2 valid proofs of residency, along with proof of guardianship, and proof applicant receives assistance for each child

There will be NO automatic qualifications for Financial Assistance. Anyone interested must reapply and provide the required supporting documentation. The application window will open the first Monday of February (February 2, 2026). 

Note: Applicants MUST register for Summer Camps separately, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for ALL camps.
