
R.E.C. (traditional) summer camps will be done on a first come, first served basis during respective registration periods. No lottery registration will be done this year.
Active Rec Cards are required for all enrollments.
There will be NO automatic qualifications for Financial Assistance. Anyone interested must re-apply and provide required supporting documentation.
We offer two types of camps during the summer season. Recreate, Educate, and Create (R.E.C.) is our traditional summer camp, while we also have a variety of specialty. What's the difference between our R.E.C. and specialty camps?
R.E.C. Camp
Time Frame: approximately 10-week period (May 31 to August 9), Full Day Camp
Price per Participant: $80 for the time frame above
Description: This year will be "A Summer of Champions" for our R.E.C. Camp participants. They will enjoy activities, crafts, games, etc. to go along with the theme. There may be field trips and activities planned safely on-site for all participants to enjoy.

Specialty Camp
Time Frame: 3 days up to 1 week Half Day and Full Day Camp
Price per Participant: Varies by Camp
Description: Specialty Camps are really just that. Participants will spend the designated time frame enjoying an in-depth exploration of their chosen specialized activity, to include anything from Fine Arts, Sports, and Aquatics related themes.

Annual Rec Cards
A current Rec Card is required to participate in all summer camp activities. Those with active WebTrac accounts, may purchase and/or renew their Rec Cards online.
Note that teens 13 to 19 years of age qualify for a free Rec Card (Teen Pass). You must visit one of our facilities or call our office to acquire this pass, it cannot be done online.
Summer Camp Financial Assistance
We offer financial assistance to participants 17 and younger who are city residents and qualify financially. The online application for Financial Assistance is open. Applications will only be accepted by submitting the online form. Need instructions?
Financial assistance may be awarded to City of Tampa residents who apply and provide a letter of verification for select state, federal, or county assistance* received for each child, two current proofs of residency, and legal proof of guardianship for each child via one of the following documents only: birth certificate, foster parent letter, or Power of Attorney. Notarized letters for guardianship are not accepted.
