Boat Storage & Boathouse Use Policy

The Bob Buckhorn River Center Boathouse exists to develop and promote rowing and paddling in Tampa, providing a home for teams and programs that inspire youth, collegiate athletes, and the community to connect through the water.

Boat Storage & Boathouse Use – Rack Fees

Storage is available only to authorized rowing and paddling teams/organizations holding an active permit.

Annual Storage Fees

  • Small Boats (1x, 2x/-, OC1, OC2), $500
  • Four/Quad, $750
  • Eight, $1,000
  • OC6 & Dragon Boat, $1,500
  • Storage Cage, $1,200

All storage is governed by the City of Tampa’s Boat Storage and Boathouse Use Permit Terms & Conditions.

National Learn to Row Day

Each year on the first Saturday in June, the Parks and Recreation Department and its partner programs host National Learn to Row Day. This free event is open to the public and gives community members the opportunity to try rowing, to meet local coaches and athletes, and to learn more about how to get involved in the sport.
